A moving authentic story of a girl, Celena, who struggles with being bipolar yet experiences everything any other teenage girl will. Her relationship with her boyfriend, very intelligent but perhaps troubled in other ways, gets mixed up with his friends. It's passionate but tempered with fine writing. At the heart of this story is the relationship between Celena and her mother, who will do anything to help her daughter.The dialogue is authentic and the story is too hard to put down. It's not an easy thing to write about troubled teens and their families without making that the story but the author's storytelling gets past that.
